Your organisation's privacy is respected by Directfocus Australia. We col lect information about organisations in the human services industry and treat this information professionally, ethically and with confidentiality.
All staff members, including subcontractors, sign confidentiality agreements prior to working with Directfocus Australia.
Information regarding organisations and individuals, col lected by Directfocus Australia clerical staff, is not disclosed to any third parties without permission from the organisation or subject individual.
The Codes of Practice and/or the Codes of Ethics of their individual professions bind Directfocus Consultants.
All information col lected by Directfocus Australia is kept in a secure environment and any sensitive information (including any duplicates made for work purposes) col lected by us in the course of our services will be returned to your organisation once the contracted service has been delivered by Directfocus. We do not keep records (or duplicates) of information that you give us in the course of our services e.g. policies, procedures, staff handbooks etc. We keep copies of any work that we produce for your organisation and this work is not disclosed to any third party, for advertising or other purposes, without your consent.
Disclosure of information Directfocus Australia will not disclose your organisational information to any third parties for any purposes other than on a 'need-to-know' basis (i.e. in order to deliver the contracted service), unless law requires it. Any organisational information that Directfocus Australia discloses on a 'need-to-know' basis will only occur with the prior knowledge of the organisation involved.
As Directfocus professionals work with community and welfare services our policy is that all professional staff have mandatory reporting responsibilities under the Children and Young Persons (Care and Protection) Act NSW 1998. Professional staff members are required to report risk of harm or suspected risk of harm to the NSW Department of Community Services. Any matters of reportable conduct (defined by amendments to child protection legislation) will be referred to the NSW Community Services Ombudsman who will oversee the investigation process.
Directfocus consultants and associate consultants who conduct field visits are subject to 'working with children checks'. The process of employment screening is conducted with the permission of the subject staff member and prior to any welfare industry site visits |
